Francisco Fernández founded LinguaVox in November 2000 in Northern Spain after working 3 years as a full-time English to Spanish translator and reviser. In 2001, 4 people worked at LinguaVox, an IT engineer and 3 translators and revisers. Our main clients were national and international translation agencies, which requested our TEP (translation + editing + proofreading) services for ready-to-publish English to Spanish, Basque and French translation jobs, the native languages of our in-house translators at that time. In the next few years, our client database increased at a similar pace as our in-house and freelance team, the number of target languages we offered, the world distribution of our clients, the customer profiles (technical industries, institutions, health services companies, etc), our expertise in specialized areas and industry specific translation tools and, most importantly, our constantly improved quality oriented processes, a must for a company pursuing excellence and long term customer satisfaction.

Quality and customer satisfaction have always been our first priorities. And we are proud of the fact that we have increased our base of satisfied clients significantly in the past few years. As part of our continuous quality improvement process, we implemented a series of rigorous quality procedures in late 2004. As a result of this, our Quality Management System was certified according to ISO 9001:2000 in mid February 2006, and ISO 9001:2008 in February 2009. Similarly, our translation service was certified according to the European quality standard UNE EN-15038 soon after its publication on April 14th, 2008, LinguaVox being one of the very first European translation services companies with double quality certification.

From our inception in 2000, our translation company’s global reach and reputation among international clients and translation service providers are bigger and bigger. Last year, more than 1,000 international clients trusted in LinguaVox as their quality language provider for translation jobs into 57 target languages, and more than 360 target language native translators and revisers worked for our European or US translation services.

  • Multilingual DTP in the main Desktop Publishing software packages, platforms and languages: Framemaker, Pagemaker, Quark, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, etc. PC and Mac. And in any language, including Arabic, Hebrew, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.
  • Language Interpreters. European and US language interpreters available in most large cities and languages. Liaison or Bilateral interpreting services, consecutive interpretation, chuchotage, simultaneous, sworn interpretation, via the telephone, via chat… in the most common languages.
  • Translation industry specific translation tools. Our translators can use most frequent Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, including SDL Trados, Star Transit, Atril Déjà Vu, Wordfast, Across, etc.
